Enquiry:
A long standing customer, an Academy, approached us with the plan of fitting a replacement fire escape door.
Reason:
Their existing door had been badly damaged and a new design was required.
Plan:
We attended a site visit to measure up for this door. The site manager was consulted as to the requirements, and two options were given for the Academy’s consideration.
Design: A heavy duty steel door with panic hardware and a magnetic lock wired into a fire alarm interface, to release upon activation. Door to be fully powder coated to improve aesthetics.
Fabrication: Once the client had decided to proceed, a bespoke steel door was put into production with our local team.
Installation: This door had to be installed over the half term school holidays, so we booked in a date and attended as planned.
