Planned maintenance of automatic doors
As well as preventing any unnecessary breakdowns, routine door maintenance is essential to ensure that your doors do not present any danger to users and conform to current legislation.

It is a legal requirement (in accordance with BS7036 BSEN16005) to have your doors serviced at least once a year. If you don’t comply, you can face hefty fines, or worse – you could be held liable and get taken to court if an injury occurs due to an unsafe entrance.
Planned Maintenance Contracts
Planned maintenance of roller shutters
It is recommended by the DHF (Door and Hardware Federation) that roller shutters are serviced on a regular basis. The frequency and level of maintenance will be determined by the type of door and its intended use. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Workplace regulations 1992 both state that regular servicing of industrial doors such as roller shutters is required, making it a legal requirement.
Planned maintenance of fire doors
Fire doors are only effective if they are correctly installed and regularly maintained. That’s why periodic servicing and regular inspections are imperative. Door Support North East can oversee the inspection, repair, service and maintenance of all makes and models of fire-rated steel doors for various applications and building types.

Our survey involves a 24-point Inspection of the door, frame, architrave and fire stopping precautions to ensure the door is compliant with BS 8214:2016. Once complete, an in-depth report will be generated and presented to you outlining any required remedial tasks and information on the best solution to take.
